Theme from "Mission: Impossible" which went to # 41 either in 1968 or 1969. All In The Family "Those Were The Days" went to # 42 in late 1971. The "Batman" TV theme also was done by Sun Ra & The Blues Project (The Sensational Guitars Of Dan And Dale) in 1966 BUT it wasn't a hit in the Hot 100. Quincy Jones "Streetfighter" (Theme from "Sanford And Son") in early 1973 (from "You've Got It Bad Girl").

Theme From Baretta (Keep Your Eye On The Sparrow)-Rhythm Heritage

I remember that this sounded really cool on WFDF with the old bassy sounding processing. They used that until that big article in one of the trades about CKLW redesigning their DA and getting out to 15 kHz with their combined processing. Then stations were convinced that to compete with FM, they had to use an Optimod or other means to stretch their high frequency response, and all those stations with bassy processing suddenly disappeared. Didn't sound like CKLW, but less bassy.

I like the ABC sitcom from the 80's Growing Pains theme song. Not sure if it charted though. Also The A-Team, MacGyver, Airwolf, not really radio songs there but cool nonetheless.

I have to say though, the TV shows of yesterday had some great theme music. It's not really like that anymore.

I'm fairly certain the opening theme from "WKRP In Cincinnati" with extended lyrics charted in the '80s, as did the theme from "Cheers".
