Gray Stations to revive daily Star Spangled Banner closings

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

Gray Stations to revive daily Star Spangled Banner closings

According to ABC12, which is making a big fuss out of something that will only be shown in the middle of the night:

(Check their Facebook post on the topic, which features hundreds of people thanking ABC12 for something they won't be awake for.)

And I was right about it being on late-night, as sister station in Lexington WKYT plan on showing it at 4AM:

They seemed to imply every Gray station in the country is doing this. I wonder when WTVG will air the anthem? Logically a good time would be 4:30 AM, after America This Morning and before the start of the awful morning news giggle fest with Sashem Brey and Jeff Smith's hairpiece.

Peculiar they want to do so at all, but I guess with where things are these days, they want to act like they still care.

WTVG's been showing this at 4:59 AM every morning. The video montage itself is nice, but of course they end it with the stupid "This Is Home" logo. Still not sure of the point.

Ugh! "This is home" has been overdone for at least 15 yrs now.

I understand South Bend's channel 16 started it too.
