Ron apparently lives in a seedy motel on Detroit's outskirts,so unfortunately for his dodgy health ,he may be forced to work some years to support himself and frankly, his ego .

Well ,since Cameron's been a Detroit personality (even with his somewhat unengaging one) for close to a half-century,I guess he merits this thread .

When 82-year-old Phil Regan was named Mets' pitching coach, Cameron mentioned some connection with the long-ago Tiger. When (if?) Terry Fox is the Saturday guest,Ron will talk about the June 24,1962 22-inning,seven-hour 9-7 Tigers loss to the Yankees and how Regan pitched seven (I think ) scoreless relief innings so Ron can crab about today's "openers," plethora of relievers, the juiced baseballs and (perhaps, even today) players and other aspects of 2019 MLB which vex Ron .

Maybe I'm missing something, lidoshuffle, but I don't think anyone's forcing you to read the contents of this thread. Just avert your glance and move on, bro.
I'm not your ..."bro"....

And, 313sports, it’s always the same questions he asked of them on their multiple previous appearances. What was your greatest thrill in your career? Did you always want to be a professional in your sport? And of course the same old the game/athlete is not the same as back in the day (always worse). Then there’s the usual repeated story that, true or not, has little or nothing to do with the guest who sits in silence on the other end of the phone. And so often is just an attempt to impress upon the guest the legend of Ron.

313sports,not only do I remember ex-Tigers pitcher Terry Fox,I'm one of the seemingly few folk on this side of the river who know there's another Terry Fox besides the late anti- cancer activist and runner !!!!

Well, we’ll see if any of the arranged/“confirmed” guests this weekend stiff Ron.

How many times has Terry Fox been a guest? It’s pretty safe to say that no new ground will be covered in this “interview.” Were it not for his badly-read commercials - and, seriously, what rational person would patronize a business with the bad judgment to associate itself with this clown?! - Ron could just as easily air a repeat of a Fox previous appearance.

What a brutal first hour. Matt doesn't need to be on the air ever. Bring Alex back to go at it with Ron.

Nice how Ron intercepted Alex's question directed to Ted Kulfan. It would never occur to Ron that his listeners might be interested in his guest's opinions, not his regurgitated ones.

Had to get the baseball scores in. Matt has to warn him it's too late in the show to do them and maybe not put them up. It was sad that his ego couldn't be checked in front of his guest and his well known opinion had to be stated again. Guests are supposed to be able to be asked a question right?
