Kevin Sanderson

I just saw a post on Art Vuolo's Facebook page from Kevin Sanderson. Kevin's been in the hospital for a couple of weeks recuperating from a stroke. No computer in the hospital room, so Art made the post and took a picture during a visit.

Geez, there's a whole laundry list of them, going back to at least Tower 92. Lengthy stint as morning traffic reporter on Fox 2, also traffic on V 98.7 in its smooth jazz days. Think he was also a traffic reporter for the J. I'm sure there's lots more I have missed. He's been in the market at least 20 years and probably longer.

WAAM 1600, WTWR 92.3, WCAR 1130, and WKQI 95.5 are four others. WVMV 98.7 with Alexander Zonjic. WKFR 1400 Battle Creek. WJR and WWJ Traffic (contracted with traffic reporting companies I think).

My first radio job was answering request lines at Tower for Kevin. A true pro.
Godspeed.

He's been doing morning traffic reports on Fox 2 News for many years (aurally only; he doesn't appear on camera). I believe he took over those duties the moment Rhonda Walker bolted for WDIV.

And, yes, on the radio around here - he's spent appreciable time on the airwaves of V98.7, Newsradio 950 WWJ, and most recently, 760 WJR. I really enjoyed the pairing of he and Mr. Zonjic in morning drive at V98.7.

I wish him a full and speedy recovery!

Having reported on Michigan's terrible roads for several decades, he hit a pothole on his way in to work, suffered a flat tire and bent rim...and got extremely frustrated and angry, resulting in the stroke! PLEASE FIX THE DAMN ROADS, Gretchen! >:

Is this true?

That's why you should get AAA, if you're older than 40, at least.

Not true.

Kevin is in Botsford/Beaumount in Farmington Hills if any of you would like to visit him, or send him a get well card.

I thought something might have happened to him he's been off for 3 weeks. I might have missed it but I heard nothing on Channel 2 about any of this. Maybe a little gun shy after the Starr story. Is Heather Pascoe related to Rob Pascoe?

I hope Kevin Sanderson comes back soon because Pete Spivak sounds like he is giving the traffic report out of a tuna can! Maybe there is something wrong with his mic?
