My late high school buddy Robbie Borrink,a right-handed guitar god, would have mopped the floor with Crapton even if Robbie played left-handed !!!!!!

I have the answer, because it doesn't "test well" among people that take tests to win tickets to a concert that was selling so poorly the promotor gave the station a bunch of tickets.

Jesus, I hope you're not a reporter. The guy was spotted in a wheelchair once two years ago and you're saying he's confined to it now? Are you and Noah prepared to build an ark when we get a couple inches of rain?FET-500 wrote: ↑Tue Jun 04, 2019 12:26 pmPushed through an airport, two years ago after canceling gigs....

I listened to a slew of his albums and found his guitar playing merely average. Tone, technique, all underwhelming and boring. Its not exciting, its not emotive, its not innovative.

Re: Eric Clapton
These days, my favorite guitarist is Sonny Landreth. The greatest slide guitarist not named Allman. We have a mutual friend and I have been in his company several times. He is as pleasant and approachable as can be.

John Ripper has a lot of the local shows with Sonny on video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bbZ4Dh7vQIcVic Doucette wrote: ↑Sat Jun 08, 2019 10:47 amThese days, my favorite guitarist is Sonny Landreth. In the Rolling Stone magazine issue on "The 100 Greatest Guitarists Of All Time", Clapton is # 2 & the late Jimi Hendrix is # 1.
Re: Eric Clapton
The song "Mainline Florida" by Clapton is a great song!!! (from 1974 "461 Ocean Boulevard")

Les Paul, Wes Montgomery, and Chet Atkins were some of the greatest.
I started out with nothing and I still have most of it.
Re: Eric Clapton
Chet Atkins & Les Paul "Chester & Lester" (1976) & their follow - up "Guitar Monsters" (1978) are worth hearing!! Les Paul cracks up the jokes!!!
