Some deep cuts I heard Wheels play on my trip to Ypsilanti this afternoon:

Rainbow / Stone Cold
Aldo Nova / Fantasy
Metallica / Whiskey In The Jar
Led Zeppelin / Nobody's Fault But Mine, (A deep cut for Led Zeppelin)

Others they played today that I heard while listening on and off . . .

She Sells Sanctuary by the Cult
Everything About You by Ugly Kid Joe
Last Child by Aerosmith
The Jack by AC/DC
Cumbersome by Seven Mary Three (maybe this one is in their regular rotation and I just miss it)

So I pretty much kept the station on as I was driving around on Saturday, and even had it on in the house a lot, and even listened as I did some yard work. Looking through the recently played from Saturday I see they played a few from my list

"On the Loose" Saga
"Fantasy" Aldo Nove
“Good Times Roll” The Cars
"Blinded by the Light" Manfred Mann's Earth Band
“Solsbury Hill” Peter Gabriel

Some other tracks I was surprised they actually played
"Modern Love" David Bowie
"Just What I Needed" The Cars
"Brass in Pocket" Prentenders
"No Reply At All" Genesis
"White Room" Cream
"Land of Confusion" Genesis
"It's The End Of The World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine)" R.E.M.
"Fire Women" The Cult
"Oh Well" The Rockets
"Run to the Hills" Iron Maiden
"Roxanne" The Police
"New Girl Now" Honeymoon Suite
"Iron Man" Black Sabbath

J. Geils Band still blacklisted

"The Rock", a now-defunct SE Ontario station, used to play "Fantasy" as part of its can-con requirement. WCSX used to regularly play "Let The Good Times Roll" , " No Reply At All" and " White Room".l guess due to their pre-occupation with 80s music, they must have phased them out.
In my opinion, "Brass In Pocket" and "Iron Man" are not deep cuts.
"Roxanne"? Seriously? I thought several stations were still spinning that stale tune into the ground.

Most of this list is regular air play hardly deep cuts take it from a radio Dude. Only 4 songs on that list are possible deep cuts if this is what WLLZ considerers deep cuts then they will fail.

I agree with Chuck and Y M. Many of those tracks receive airplay on a fairly high number of classic rock stations routinely.

Weekdays, 106.7's playlist is on the narrow side compared to many classic rock stations. That said, the song choices have improved over the past few weeks. Some stuff that simply doesn't belong has been weeded out.

Jackie Green is single-handedly ruining WLAV!

They may receive regular play on other classic rock station, but have not been part of WLLZ playlist. I just like them expanding their playlist. I know Roxanne by The Police isn't really a true "Deep Cut" but it isn't something WLLZ hasn't been playing. So I am not commenting on them being true lost classic deep cuts, just deeper cuts then WLLZ has been playing since they came back.

Y.M. Ionhere,Aldo Nova is from Montreal, which is why The Rock played his hit "Fantasy." (Nova, born Aldo Crisciola,Jon Bon Jovi's inspiration. )

So Podell was asking for suggestions of deep tracks to play on the WLLZ Facebook page. I doubt he plays 99% of the ones he gets as the songs aren't corporate approved, consultants haven't checked with the focus group, yada-yada-yada. But I suggested a list of deep cuts for him anyways . . .

Albatross by Fleetwood Mac
Back in the New York Groove by Ace Frehley
Beth by KISS
Black Diamond by KISS
Carmelita by Warron Zevon
Century City by Tom Petty
Cold Shot by Stevie Ray Vaughn
Cross Eyed Mary by Jethro Tull
Cry Baby by Janis Joplin
Dolly Dagger by Jimi Hendrix
Down the Street by the Stooges
Dumb by Nirvana
Eight Miles High by the Byrds
Five to One by the Doors
God of Thunder by KISS
Just Between You and Me by April Wine
Little Girl Blue by Janis Joplin
Love Street by the Doors
Misty Mountain Hop by Led Zeppelin
Never In My Life by Mountain
One World by Dire Straits
Perpetual Change by YES
Play the Game by Queen
Radio Ga-Ga by Queen
Rape Me by Nirvana
Rock the Nation by Montrose
Run to the Hills by Iron Maiden
Stone Cold Sober by Rod Stewart
Sure 'Nuff n Yes, I Do by Captain Beefheart and His Magic Band
Take It So Hard by Keith Richards
Texas Flood by Steive Ray Vaughn
There's Only One Way to Rock by Sammy Hagar

You’re absolutely correct as many have said some New York office jerk-off is making the playlist not Podell.
