West Michigan native, Emily Schuitema, joins WOOD TV from WSAW-TV in Wisconsin. Schuitema grew up in Grand Rapids and graduated from Grand Rapids Christian High School in 2013.

Dang - only two years of total broadcasting experience. She has strong educational credentials, though. I give WOOD-TV credit. They hire REAL meteorologists. Wish the stations in Detroit could follow suit reliably.

P.S...she ain't bad looking. :)

The WOOD TV love fest continues on here. Any other station that hires a Weather person with two years experience is hammered, but WOOD gets credit on here for hiring a Weather person with "good educational background". And after all, this hire is Kyle related, yet nothing on his future or why he was shown the door.

He was likely shown the door due to budget cuts. We've already discussed that here.

I like Kyle, and I think it sucks ass his contract was not renewed.

17 follows the same course as 8 when it comes to hiring young people for weekend weather duty.

Again, more WOOD bias. If you truly think KU simply "didn't have his contract renewed" you're either biased or have your head in the sand.

How on earth do my earlier comments represent "WOOD bias?"

Care to post something constructive, or do you wish to continue trolling this thread?

Yes, I absolutely believe Kyle's contract was not renewed, and I suspect compensation is probably the biggest reason why it was not renewed.

Then your "suspect" of compensation as the reason would be wrong. Just speak to any woman he has worked with and you will quickly learn the real reason.
