Sorry Steve. Just saw your response post. Yes. It would be fun to get into some classic rock trivia. Those favorite oldies make me feel young again. Music is an instant trip back into ones life. The sights and sounds. The relationships. All the emotions. The highs. The lows. A rewind of a million personal moments and the same feelings - maybe now from a new perspective, understanding, and appreciation.
Re Eve of Destruction lyrics - most of the themes are still relevant - the same kind of explosive world situations - even if the places and faces have changed. One exception: the line about irony - “You’re old enough to kill (Vietnam draft) , but not for votin’ “ now obsolete due to lowering the voting age.
Did not know about Dawn of Correction. Interesting. Thanks, borderboy.

That sounds like a title The Barron Knights would have picked for a parody song of it.screen glare wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 1:49 am

If anyone doesn't know who they are, they were basically the British equivalent of Weird AL, but their parody songs had more meaning and were written to be major radio hits. Rather than parody a single song, they would usually parody a medley of songs per single or sometimes parody just artist's styles in a big mashup song.
(A lot of them were top hits on the UK too).
They had quite a lot of Top Of The Pops appearances in the 70s.

Groove on, borderboy. I high five you on your great memory. Especially in our age group with its increasing population of Alzheimer’s patients. May we all be celebrating the gift of total recall by donating time or money to The Alzheimer’s Foundation.
Meanwhile - I applaud your love of music. It’s one of life’s outstanding enjoyments. For sure.

Here's a TV clip of The Spokesmen. Not sure the dancing went well with the song, but it was that kind of show, I'm sure.

Johnny Sea's "Day For Decision", another answer record to Barry McGuire's song.
As to the topic at hand, "True" by Spandau Ballet or "More Than A Feeling" by Boston.

How did I forget "Brown Eyed Girl" by Van Morisson.
