I really enjoy this station too. Sunday nights are interesting. Randy Bachman (from Bachman Turner Overdrive) has a unique syndicated show on Sunday nights.
CBC-2 is on my car presets.

I would listen to 89.9 far more often it weren't for the station's super flimsy audio processing. I feel like I'm listening thru a $10 clock radio every time I tune in.
The on-air talent is very knowledgeable, mature, and does not subject the audience to stupid commercial FM radio gimmicks.

Morgan Wallen is a piece of garbage.

Then listen with a $10 clock radio and you won’t notice. Lol.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Thu Mar 21, 2019 5:03 pmI would listen to 89.9 far more often it weren't for the station's super flimsy audio processing. I feel like I'm listening thru a $10 clock radio every time I tune in.

Variety. Depends on what show you listen to. There’s pop, jazz, rock, classical. It’s all over the map. Some of these shows arent generic “formats” but they have themes. Just gotta hear it at different times of the day.

The only time I don’t listen to them is from 9AM-1PM it’s Classical, I’m not a fan of Classical Music.

And given that I'm an avid BTO and Randy Bachman fan,I should be listening to it a lot more .
Re: 89.9 CBC Music (CBC Radio 2)
I miss Brave New Waves, but it's late night music is still pretty good.
Re: 89.9 CBC Music (CBC Radio 2)
I'm very surprised our friend Turkeytop has not yet chimed in to insist that CBC Music 89.9 is nothing but all-"garage band"-all-the-time.
I totally agree with MW that the audio quality has sucked eggs for a long time now. Thin, low levels. I remember when the CBC Stereo service started up, and touted itself as the first satellite-delivered stereo radio network. Sounded pretty good then, for the most part.

I know this is waaaaay off topic, but you reminded me that I want to reply to MW's remarks about WOMC's audio.
I don't listen to the station much anymore, but I turned it on in the car the other day and WTF.
They had that volume up as loud as possible and the treble was turned all the way up.
That combination made me ears cry for help.
