SCREW YOU! I’M KEEPING YOU SAFE!!!
Love how tv news folks lash back at viewers who express displeasure with severe weather cut-ins.

I stand by my original statement.organman95 wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:06 amWould you rather be informed of the storm heading your direction, or be surprised?
If a station has news staff, they are obligated to warn people of any major issue that could be life/death.

Never a slow week, never a fast week either. The duration of every week is the same. #scienceisourfriendSteve Korvette wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 9:34 amWhy is this even a topic? Is this a slow topic week LL 101? Or did you just run out of cop stories, Just asking.
Nobody ever “runs out of cop stories.” Their crimes are documented daily!
Now, don’t you have another face tattoo appointment?

The funny part is that there is no more room for another face tattoo. They’re not as funny when you have to explain it.ZenithCKLW wrote: ↑Fri Mar 15, 2019 12:47 pmLOL that face tattoo joke was HILARIOUS! These jokes split my sides. What an intelligent insult, I bet he doesn't even have any face tattoos! How did you come up with that?

It’s just hilarious all around. You’ve got weather broadcasters screaming at people, “If you’re in this area, SEEK SHELTER! SEEK IT!!! SEEEEEEK IIIIIIT!!!!!! I know none of you in that area can hear or see me because the electricity is out because of the storm, but I’m saving your lives!!!!! SEEEEEEEK IIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!!!”
Then you’ve got the cops in podunk nowhere where the storm is nowhere near them screaming at their TV, “Derp, ya have ta interrupt Springer fer dis? I was jest goin’ to fine out who she was sleepin’ wit! Dang you, TV folk!”
Then the weather broadcasters lash out at the rednecks, “Listen, fools, I know you like your NASHCAR, but my ticking you off is saving your life! SEEEEEEEEK IIIIIIIIIIIIT!”

Oh, that’s right! Because nothing local ever appears ON THE INTERNET!audiophile wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 10:46 amI corrected my earlier post to include the quote I was referring to.
LOL101 fails to understand one significant advantage TV stations have over the internet is being LOCAL.
SEEEEEEEEEEEK IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!!!!

Where could you find real-time quality coverage? Still looking for it.audiophile wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 12:06 pmWhere could I find something close to real-time quality coverage of 5, 12, 25 during this tornado event on the internet? Plus WNEM's doppler was impressive!
I have some advanced weather tools and a ham radio, so I was on top of it but I still found the coverage helpful with this very fast moving storm.

You’ve never seen wind before either, but yet you believe it’s there.

Read, audioliar, READ! I said “quality” coverage.audiophile wrote: ↑Sun Mar 17, 2019 8:55 amYou started this thread regarding too much real-time coverage of the tornadoes, now you imply that there wasn't any? You are a walking contradiction.lovinlife101 wrote: ↑Sat Mar 16, 2019 1:04 pmWhere could you find real-time quality coverage? Bingo! Hence no need for any drama of interrupting any programming. The internet, use it!R Bedell wrote: ↑Mon Mar 18, 2019 8:22 amlovinlife101:
While I agree with you on some of your points, you can avoid all the crap and log into this link: https://www.weather.gov
Also, you can download the Mobile App from www.noaa.com
Both have very accurate information, without all the hype and entertainment value. You can get valuable information in less than a minute.
I have used those links for years.
