"Rexie?" As in Sexy Rexie...no wait,he was the late British stud Rex Harrison . (No known relation to the Tigers' second baseman,Josh Harrison, whose uncle John Shelby was a Tiger in the mid-90's . )

I’ll give it a watch then... I would imagine they just tried to copy what 4 does... 7’s News Director used to be the Assistant News Director at 4 so she would know how that all went together. Now if all Scripps did was have them repackage what was already there that’s a different story...CircleWXYZ wrote: ↑Wed Mar 13, 2019 9:10 amIt debuted on MondayNS8401 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 10:12 pmDid it even debut yet? If The NOW was on then that’d be a no...CircleWXYZ wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 9:43 pmNS8401 wrote: ↑Mon Mar 11, 2019 12:55 am“The List” is a must run from Scripps... no chance of ditching it... what would you ditch it for? “Right This Minute”? Another must run. Scripps won’t move ET back there unfortunately... that might at least make a small amount of sense. Not sure ET is really all that big a deal anymore... 7 has zero control over their syndication.MWmetalhead wrote: ↑Sun Mar 10, 2019 8:28 amGreat - more air time for the news crew rated dead last among A25-54 viewers.
I will say added local news is an improvement over "The Now," however.
I have two more suggestions for 7:
- How about permanently ditching the motion sickness-inducing robo camera from your early morning newscasts? Holy shit I hate that thing!!
- How about cancelling the fucking awful 7:30p show, "The List," or demoting it to channel 20?
ET is on CBS 62, now. ET is a CBS run show. There’s no way it’s going back to 7.
As for Action News at 4, not impressed at all!!!
Re: 7 Action News at 4pm... Buh bye to The Now
It’s The NOW with new branding, regular news graphics and the stupid national people cutting in pretty sloppily... they didn’t even show a single graphic during a 4 minute cut in telling us who they were and whoever the people are they are small market talents...
They could do better and go all local...

That would cost more, this is cheaper and it's company wide so the savings are scaled and not insignificant. They could do better and go all local...
Re: 7 Action News at 4pm... Buh bye to The Now
They are also saving themselves from higher ratings and more revenue and profit... apparently they are ok with that scenario... weird for a business... no company ever cut itself to profitability and did well... it’s usually the first step to death...

Well stated, NS8401.
Scripps' is a poorly run company with no clear sense of direction (other than the WRONG direction!).
I saw a little bit of the 4PM abomination today. It's bad. Really bad.

Paul Woods reminds me a bit of the Swedish Chef from the Muppets when he speaks!
