Seeing Hamilton this year in NYC. Good seats. Expensive. Sure hope the cast is on that night. Live theatre can be disappointingly inconsistent. Even more so when it’s a popular show running over several years.

The ticket to get right now, is Mott the Hoople.
Hamilton is little more than virtue signaling on a tribal level.

We saw Hamilton in Cleveland over the summer.
It was a tremendous show. The touring company is really good. We are talking about trying to get some tickets to see it in Detroit because some friends are interested. I'd watch it again.
(Went to see Phantom last night at the Opera House. It was a good production, as well. The guy playing the Phantom was excellent.)

Last time I saw Phantom in person was in 2002 I believe.
I'm long overdue for seeing it again !
Glad to hear the actor was great.
I tend to dislike anyone that's not Michael Crawford, lol.
I'm too picky.
Music is my life.

I wish I'd said that. Not sure what people enjoy the most—seeing Hamilton, or talking about seeing it.

Seeing it is awesome, love the music, the story, the history. Talking about it is tedious and I'm guilty but honest to god I haven't seen anything that has made me this fanboy excited since I saw Star Wars in 77' when I was 11. See it and judge for yourself.

Why? Because once a generation there is something that comes along on Broadway that is shoulders above everything else. Hamilton is that brilliant.
I certainly can understand how many don't understand theater, so let me put it this way: Duck Dynasty is to someone perhaps like you as Hamilton is to those who enjoy theater.

I guess it also has a lot of snob appeal.

That's hilariously patronizing.
