TV Personalities Moving To Radio
TV Personalities Moving To Radio
With the latest move by Kim Adams doing Mornings at The Breeze and Steve and Joanne at The Big 104, Who will be the next TV person to go to radio, Now I do realize this has been going on for a while with TV people going to WWJ or WJR but that to me is a little different, I’m talking full shows on the music stations, Can we possibly hear Charlie Langton doing mornings on Alt 106.7, I know that’s a little ridiculous but maybe WCSX, Or Maybe Marielle Lue at Kiss FM Who knows, The One thing I did notice is Entercom must have a thing for local TV Personalities on the radio, Anyway what do you think? Have A Great Day!

Are these folk moving to radio ala Mark Wilson because they've lost their good looks ? (A problem Cowboy will never experience unless he gets a disease such as cancer .)

Good looks: Both sexes commenting on your cover boy handsomeness five-and-one-half months before your 66th birthday. Cowboy and Yours Truly enjoy that distinction. ( As I've admitted plenty of times,I know Cowboy but am not he.)

Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
It rarely translates. Ever heard the Mario Lopez abomination on 'NIC?
Now, if you're a radio personality that moves to TV, then BACK to radio, say like Towers, different story. Theorectly they understand the medium. TV people don't get it.
With respect to Steve and Joanne, whom I enjoyed on TV, hearing them on WOMC is like watching Circle 7 without a picture. Not feeling it.

I agree with you, And listening to Kim Adams on 98.7 this morning, I don’t feel the love, Maybe it’s due to the fact 98.7 really does nothing for me to start with and Kim Adams on radio a double nothing. But I’m a 63 year old Radio Retiree and perhaps a little more judgmental when it comes to the radio biz.

Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
I think Kim sounded GREAT this morning! She sounded way younger than her age. I tried calling the studio line (313-298-9870) to talk to her, but she didn't pick-up. In a video she posted on her Facebook page this morning, she said she's only filling-in today and tomorrow. I wonder why Tim is taking so much time to hire a permanent morning host?
...and NOW, Ladies & Gentlemen...The Next Poster!

Kim Adams...great. I hoped she was gone for good. Didn't like her work on tv, Im sure I'd like her less on radio.
Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
So Kim is not permanent interesting. As far as finding anyone the money must not be there, Maybe they need to pay more. My Grandson That works at a BK probably makes more than what Entercom is offering for a job at 98.7.

Voice tracked probably. If she didn't do live service elements (weather, time etc) it was canned.non-anon bob wrote: ↑Tue Jan 22, 2019 5:23 pmI tried calling the studio line (313-298-9870) to talk to her, but she didn't pick-up

Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
Entercom has been giving out 12,000 dollars a day... for weeks.
They definitely have the money.
No excuses !

Re: TV Personalities Moving To Radio
Is that a Local or National Contest? If it’s a Toll Free Phone number it’s National which means the cash doesn’t come from 98.7, It would be from Entercom the main office, And the contest is National.
