Not to be rude but this 98.7 thing is getting way to old, this topic has 9 threads already it’s a bit much considering how much radio is out there, it’s time for all of us to move on to other topics, this radio station in reality is not any different than any other station in the Detroit Market, In a short while like a month or two it will become boring radio just like the other stations or until something else comes along, again I’m not trying to be mean or rude but that is the reality of the business, Have a Nice Day ! Ratings come out Friday we’ll see how 98.7 does.

I sometimes ponder if some of the people chomping at the bit for a line up, are old "on-air personalities" that didn't save money for retirement.
And are looking for a job to pay for their Geritol I-V.
Some old fart that's been on the air since W4 was on West Jefferson.
You can tell who they are because every single song they always hitting the post, even if it's Stairway to Heaven, or Sweet Child of Mine, or some song like that
.

I saved for my retirement, and my family and myself own businesses, I got out of radio in ‘98 and was in broadcasting for 22 years and really didn’t make the kind of money that my Wife and Family make today, so the money was not in broadcasting then and for sure not there today, A lot of people that I worked with back then had full time jobs at other places most of them worked in the auto industry.

I would gladly go back into radio as a part time or second job, for fun or for a few extra bucks. If you're planning on making a living or a future or a career in radio, you've lost your gahtdamn mind. There's more security in being in Guns N Roses.

Okay, so there are people on the air. I haven't heard anyone say their name either.
Tim Roberts was on this morning really early before I fell asleep around 6ish.

Now it's a black chick I don't recognize

LMAO, stop...It's Ian Richards, formerly known as "Slacker" on AMP...Sounds younger than most of the music he's playing! It looks like Entercom doesn't want to spend the money to bring in "Big Name" talent! (i.e. Kevin O'Neill, Chris Edmonds, or Sandy Kovach).

I had no faith that we’d see talent like Edmonds, etc. This is 2019 radio, not 1996....

I know it's 2019, but I had more faith that Entercom, unlike iHeart, would actually invest some money into their on-air lineup. If this station really can't pull together an airstaff with at least one or more of Chris Edmonds, Dave Lockhart Kevin O'Niell, Kevin Sanderson, Linda Lanci, Lisa Berry, Lisa Jesswin, Pam Rossi, Renee Vital, Sandy Kovach, etc. than consider it a failure.

Is this the Ian Richards that was on WWCK in Flint back in the 90's. And oh...by the way...this is the 11th thread on this station.
