Re: 98.7 Song Requests
With the amount of song suggestions on here plus the already large playlist, it's unacceptable to be repeating songs that played 4 hours earlier.
Music is my life.
Re: 98.7 Song Requests
I hope they don’t blow it by tight rotation, because there’s no need for that, with the amount of variety.
Re: 98.7 Song Requests
Some suggestions (arranged by artist):
ABBA: Fernando, The Winner Takes It All
Agnetha Faltskog: I Wasn't the One Who Said Goodbye (ft. Peter Cetera; likely would have been a top 10 hit if Cetera were the lead artist; when this song came out, Cetera was white hot)
Barry White: Practice What You Preach
Beach Boys: California Dreamin', Getcha Back
Bee Gees: One
Billy Joel: The Longest Time
Bob Seger: Shame on the Moon
Boyz II Men: It's So Hard to Say Goodbye to Yesterday
Burton Cummings: Stand Tall
Carpenters: Touch Me When We're Dancing
Chicago: Along Comes a Woman
Danny Wilson: Mary's Prayer
Dean Friedman: Ariel
Double: The Captain of Her Heart
Dream Academy: Life in a Northern Town
Eddie Money: Peace in Our Time
Fleetwood Mac: As Long As You Follow, Sara, Save Me, Seven Wonders, Silver Springs
Hi-Five: I Can't Wait Another Minute
Jackson 5: Got To Be There
Jeff Healey: Angel Eyes, Lost in Your Eyes
Jimmy Harnen: Where Are You Now
Jon Secada: Just Another Day
Limahl: The NeverEnding Story
Luther Vandross: Never Too Much
Marillion: Kayleigh
Michael W. Smith: Place In This World
Poco: Call It Love
Queen: Too Much Love Will Kill You
Restless Heart: Tell Me What You Dream, When She Cries
Stevie Nicks: Leather and Lace (ft. Don Henley)
Styx: Show Me the Way (not to be confused with the Frampton song of the same name)
Tiffany: All This Time
Wet Wet Wet: Love is All Around
Bonus Christmas songs:
Chris Rea: Driving Home for Christmas
Cliff Richard: Mistletoe and Wine
East 17: Stay Another Day
Mud: Lonely This Christmas
Queen: Thank God It's Christmas
Shakin' Stevins: Merry Christmas Everyone
Stevie Nicks: Silent Night
ABBA: Fernando, The Winner Takes It All

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
None of those are really recognizable songs. You did put a few well known ones but most are already in rotation.
I like your picks though, but radio stations need to play songs that the vast majority will recognize / were top 10-20 hits, or they risk losing listeners.

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
Combining the 3 or 4 existing playlists into one big one for less repetition would be a start...

Re: 98.7 Song Requests
They have been swapping songs in and out of their rotation endlessly... rather than do that why not just play them all?
