Notice to all Buzzboard readers & posters: A requested server migration took place Saturday evening. Unfortunately, I did not re-point my DNS records to the new server until roughly 7:45p ET on Monday, November 12. As a result, any posts and new user registrations occurring between the nighttime hours of 11/10 and approximately 7:45p ET on Monday, 11/12 have been lost.

This was unavoidable, and the longer I waited to re-point to the new server, the greater the number of posts that would've been lost.

Please feel free to resubmit any threads / posts you created. They will NOT be lost this time! Many thanks for your patience these past couple of weeks while I've worked to migrate the Buzzboard to a more secure, more robust platform.

Porn Lawyer busted for Domestic Violence

Post by zzand » Wed Nov 14, 2018 6:41 pm

The story speaks for itself.

WASHINGTON (AP) -- Michael Avenatti, who skyrocketed to fame as a chief critic of President Donald Trump and the lawyer for porn actress Stormy Daniels, was taken into police custody Wednesday following an allegation of domestic violence, a law enforcement official told The Associated Press.

Police had responded to a domestic violence incident Tuesday and took a report, but Avenatti was taken into custody Wednesday, the official said.

The official wasn't authorized to discuss the matter publicly and spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity.

Avenatti remained in custody Wednesday afternoon and a call and text message seeking comment weren't immediately returned.

Scene outside Porn Lawyer's office?

There sure isn't as much excitement, fawning, or adulation over our first orange president as there was over our first black one. Evidently, orange really isn't the new black.

Strange, isn't it? When a man with a high profile, politically, get caught in something like this, those of us on the other end of the spectrum seem to almost take joy in it, while those who share his political views either defend him, as was the case with Roy Moore and Judge Kananaugh or remain silent and pretend it didn't happen, as the left did with Al Franken and now with Avanatty.

Judge Kavanaugh didn't get "caught" doing anything. It was a purposefully done hatchet job orchestrated by political enemies. Tis a shame the ordeal he had to go through leaves the impression that he got caught doing something unsavory to women.

Lying or mistaken as has been proven. But the left was willing to suspend due process and declare him guilty.

AND...

May I add, Judge Kavanaugh wasn't arrested.

Nothing was proven in any way about anything... Kavanaugh May have purjured himself in the process though... but the FBI basically conducted a sham investigation at the end, didnt talk to the key witnesses, declared “nothing to see here, nope, no sir” and Kavanaugh was confirmed...

What exactly did any of that prove?

Are you kidding me?
A Kentucky woman who accused Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh of rape has been referred to the Department of Justice after she admitted that she lied.

The woman, Judy Munro-Leighton, took credit for contacting the office of Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) as "Jane Doe" from Oceanside, California. Jane Doe claimed - without naming a time or place - that Kavanaugh and a friend raped her "several times each" in the backseat of a car. Harris referred the letter to the committee for investigation.

"They forced me to go into the backseat and took 2 turns raping me several times each. They dropped me off 3 two blocks from my home," wrote Munro-Leighton, claiming that the pair told her "No one will believe if you tell. Be a good girl."

Upon investigation, the Judiciary Committee investigators found that Munro-Leighton was a left wing activist who is decades older than Judge Kavanaugh, who lives in Kentucky. When Committee investigators contacted her, she backpedaled on her claim of being the original Jane Doe - and said she emailed the committee "as a way to grab attention."
As for Ms. Ford:

From USA Today:
First, Ford’s testimony that the assault occurred in the summer of 1982, when just 15, conflicted with both her therapist’s notes and the text message Ford sent to the Washington Post. According to reporter Emma Brown, Ford claimed she had been assaulted in the mid-1980s; and the therapist’s notes stated Ford had been the victim of an attempted rape in her late teens. But by that time, Kavanaugh was attending Yale, so Ford’s recasting of the attack to the summer of 1982 is suspect.

Ford’s retelling of the alleged sexual assault also included several conflicting accounts of the number of individuals at the gathering. The therapist’s notes stated that four boys had attempted to rape Ford. (Ford claims her therapist confused the total number of boys at the party with the number of boys who had attacked her.)

Later, in her July letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein, Ford again placed the number of individuals at the party at five, stating the gathering included her and four other individuals. But Ford then identified the four by name, and that group included three boys and one girl. And finally, during her Senate testimony, Ford unequivocally stated that “there were four boys I remember specifically being there,” in addition to her friend Leland Keyser.

Another significant change in the scenario came when Ford testified about the location of the party. She had originally told the Washington Post that the attack took place at a house not far from the country club. Yet, when Mitchell revealed a map of the relevant locations and reminded Ford that she had described the attack as having occurred near the country club, Ford backtracked: “I would describe [the house] as it's somewhere between my house and the country club in that vicinity that’s shown in your picture.” Ford added that the country club was a 20-minute drive from her home.

Finally, Ford altered her description of the interior layout of the home and the details of the party and her escape. A “short” stairwell turned into a “narrow” one. The gathering moved from a small family room where the kids drank beer (and which Ford distinguished from the living room through which she fled the house) when she spoke to the Washington Post, to a home described in her actual testimony as having a "small living room/family room-type area.” And in an obvious tell to the change, Ford suggested that she could draw a floor plan of the house.

These four points are significant. First, because Ford had waited 30-plus years to report the purported attack, a therapist’s notes from Ford's sessions with her husband countered claims that Ford had invented the assault to derail Kavanaugh’s confirmation. But the notes did not name Ford’s attacker. And the timing of the assault summarized by her therapist, whom Ford saw individually the following year, conflicted with Ford’s current claims against Kavanaugh.

The final three contradictions are even more significant because in each circumstance Ford altered her story only after Kavanaugh and Senate investigators had obtained evidence to disprove her original tale. For instance, investigators had obtained statements from Kavanaugh and the two men and one female lifelong friend of Ford’s, and they all denied any recollection of the gathering.
Not sure how much proof you need.

Sorry guys. I didn't mean to start a s--t storm. My original posting here was intended to be neutral. It was simply an observation as to how we men (collectively) try to make rationalizations, based on our politics. I used examples from both sides.

The fact that things degenerated so quickly after that, sort of illustrates my point.

Anybody who watched and listened to Ford knows she was not lying. Nor was she mistaken. Everyone who watched and listened to the entire hearing knows - no matter what they wish or desire or strain to twist - that Ford told the truth and was not mistaken.

As for Avenatti? He lost all lack of suspicion about his character when he let it be known he would run against Trump in 2020. He’s a talented attorney. He’s excellent at it. He should stay in that job. Instead he decides to do something that taints his legal professionalism. And now if he’s convicted of domestic violence he won’t even be allowed to keep his law license.

I say believe the woman. Both Trump and Avenatti appear to have anger control issues.

It just keeps getting worse for the Porn Lawyer.
Michael Avenatti’s law firm was ordered to be evicted from its California offices over unpaid rent after the judge dismissed his attempt to block the eviction, the latest setback for the embattled lawyer who was arrested on domestic violence charges earlier this week.
