Something about Ron having Edsel’s ear about something, as Ron called Edsel’s “Bat Phone” and got right through, even though Ford’s secretary said he was in a meeting!

Other than that introduction to the story on Sunday’s show, I’ve never heard him tell this story. And since Ron repeats his catalogue of stories on the hour, I’m skeptical. Unless Ron’s saved this story for the Edsel Ford chapter of his book.

God...the sound quality on the Saturday show was horrible. Sounded like a cell phone connection. Nobody in their right mind would let that whole thing on the air.

Called the station and talked to Luke. He said he wasn’t sure if he was going to be back. Claimed that Ron would not be live this weekend.

If he isn’t paying, why would he still be on the air? You would think WDTK would cancel the contract immediately.

Sure hope someone lets Lance Parrish know. And Jack Morris, Jim Palmer and all the others champing at the bit for an opportunity to be a guest on Ron's show.

Can't forget about the golden oldies that he always braggs about. Such a tragedy.

If, at long last, this is truly it for Ron, I hope - for his sake at least - that he was successful in shaking down whomever for that $10k. It might cushion his retirement and allow him to fully work on his sure-to-be best-selling book. But I’m doubting we’ve heard the last of the ever-resilient Ron Cameron.

It's a shame Ron is technology challenged and lacks people skills. He could show up in the wonderful podcast world to keep his name out there. I guess time will tell if this is the swansong. We'll all be waiting for the book to come out.
