Where did you get this idea? The Toilet Store?
Where did you get this idea? The Toilet Store?
Everybody Agrees, Everybody agrees.
Q105 doing a few hours of Taylor Swift music so they can listen on their way to the concert in Detroit sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately, the station is talking about it on their 2 share radio station and hasn't put it on any social.
So. . .when you have no listeners. The very few listeners who got tickets don't even know what you're doing! They sure as hell haven't heard about it on your air.
Also, what time is this happening? The doors open at 4:30, because the show starts at 6:30 with two openers and Taylor goes on stage at 8. The listeners are going to most likely be on the road the afternoon of the show. You're seriously going to disrupt afternoon drive with a few hours of Taylor?
Brilliant. Blowing up afternoon drive by playing music from one artist, on a radio station with no listeners, alienating the listeners you do have who can't go to the show, due to the debacle on the ticket sales. On top of it, pushing away all of the potential cume from people who do not care, but would sample the radio station during afternoon drive.
All for a concert in Detroit?
This is what happens when news people program radio stations. On paper it sounds like a great idea, in execution it's a total train wreck.
Who on the Channel 4 news team thought of this one? Was it Brick Tamland? Where did he get that idea? The toilet store!?!

Oh, I forgot to mention. This station fades out just past Monroe. So the people who want to sing along to Taylor from Toledo going to the show are going to listen for what? Maybe 20 mins?
This idea smells like Bigfoot's well,
