107.7 The Wolf Toledo All Christmas

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

It's always funny when people think Toledo is going to get a smooth jazz, beautiful music, Spanish, "real oldies" or 3rd sports or rock station
Toledo does have a Spanish station at 96.5, which only covers part of the market.

Smooth Jazz and beautiful music will likely never have a home in Toledo.
How long did Smooth Jazz last on 97.3? Does anyone remember? I know for certain that's Dan Haslinger's favorite format. I can't even imagine him listening to country, to be honest.
I want to say 1994ish to late 1996, when they flipped to classic rock, to replace X94.5 which had gone alternative. I've always enjoyed the smooth jazz format, as I mentioned before. Cumulus I don't think ever did the format ever anyplace. CC wasn't going to do it because it would of dug into The River. Water under the bridge.

I've always kind of hoped the smooth jazz format would make a comeback in some format nationwide, likely much bigger markets.

A teacher of mine in High School once said, Toledo is 10 years behind the rest of the country. I've found this to be true on many levels. When it comes to radio, even before Cumulus came in and sucked everything up, Toledo radio had 0 imagination. Thankfully I could get Detroit stations in Monroe County.
