I still believe this is the Toledo area station listed for sale, for $635,000. Jimmy's audience can't be getting any younger.

I'm surprised at how well their 106.9 FM translator is doing in Toledo from Lime City. Probably the best translator in town after 94.9, and it seems to cover almost better than SPDy's 92.9FM.

If that IS in fact WJYM, the price has been reduced to 500K if you can close the deal fast.

If WJYM is half a million, what was the actual retail value of WPAY swap-out for the out of market translator?

Ten years ago, a Cincinnati area broker had 1520 listed for 200K. Not sure about today, with the translator included.

That is way too expensive for those stations. How about $1 for each?

I bid $2. That being said, I'm sure the FCC would love to collect fees, plus ASCAP, BMI, and all the royalties people. Plus 1KW of juice, I think I'd be at the bank pretty quick- not for deposits from all my new clients, but for a loan.

Prior to the "Jimmy" era, did the former WMGS have any success getting regional agriculture related accounts from areas outside of Bowling Green and Perrysburg? While I don't remember a lot about WMGS, I do recall they had a decent lineup of air talent, including a News/Farm department. How much business did they draw from Findlay or Lima, if any?

WJYM may have more luck targeting Wood and Hancock counties, but according to the map the FM is spotty in BG. I get Toledo is a larger pie, but a sliver of a larger pie may not be as good as a larger piece of a smaller pie.

CHYR 730 nights is no more, yes? Could WJYM get more AM signal Northward because of that?

You might be able to negotiate with the International Committees, but short of that, they have to protect 730, and the 30:1 U/D ratio for 20 kHz spacing for 710, or show with concentric contours that there is no interference more that 30:1 and 1:30 over land. I don't know why they don't just use the US Standard, 5 mV/m ro 5 mV/m, in the International Agreement, concentric interference contours, and overlap over water exclusions.
