His show was a staple for many years Monday evening on TV6.

Buck Levasseur passed away
Re: Buck Levasseur passed away
Very sad to hear; this ranks right up there with Carl Pellonpaa's passing. I watched Discovering while growing up, living, and visiting family near Escanaba. Great stuff.
At least a few episodes of Discovering were also aired on WPBN/WTOM back when they were co-owned with TV6. It brought a big smile to my face when I was flipping through the channels here in Manistee and unexpectedly came upon the program.

My favorite episode of his is when he accidently shot a deer out of season. He wrapped it up in a tarp, snuck it past a DNR officer, and took it to his buddy's pole barn to be processed. He then took the carcus out on his fishing boat, and as the credits were rolling dumped them in the middle of the lake.
