MediaBrew Communications, LLC has agreed to purchase radio properties and new media businesses serving the Upper Peninsula of Michigan from Great Lakes Radio, Inc.

The group includes WFXD (FM) Marquette, WKQS (FM) Negaunee, WRUP (FM) Palmer, and WQXO Munising (all in Michigan), in addition to four HD Radio channels and translators which operate as independent stations throughout the region. The total sales price is $2,000,000.

Indianapolis based MediaBrew Communications is headed by Charles Williams, an active owner/operator in the Hoosier State for many years. Great Lakes Radio Owner and President Todd Noordyk, who is also a longtime on-air personality in the market, is retiring and has no other radio ownership interests.

Holy wah, that's a lot of dough for the stations involved.

I wonder how much QXO actually bills per year...

He better grab the cash and run.
Although a broker note said Class C WQXO-AM 1400 and FM translator W249DR at 97.7 MHz in Munising, Mich., was included in the deal, the stations were not sold, Noordyk tells RBR+TVBR. His company also owns five other radio stations in Michigan.
