Karl Bohnak is back on the air; he's the chief meteorologist for TV-19 now.

Interesting, MW...I'd tune into CBS 19 News to see Karl doing the weather again.

I'm anxious to see a CBS 19 newscast and note how it compares to the early days of WBKP's Action 5 News. Having Karl on board gives them a familiar face that WBKP lacked.

I noticed that Sarah Blakely from TV6 is also on 19 now. 19 is the new 6?

The last I heard, 19 was assigned to Calumet. Is the station located in the Houghton area?

Your information is slightly out-of-date.

19 was originally assigned to Houghton in the 1952 Table of Allotments. 25 was later added as an ETV allotment. Marquette originally had 5 and 17.

In or around 1965, 19 was moved to Marquette, replacing 35 as its ETV allotment. Marquette lost 17 as a commercial allotment. Houghton lost 19 and 25, and Calumet gained 22 as an ETV allotment.

Later, WNPB (later WNMU-TV) had 13 reassigned to ETV and 19 to commercial. They also attempted to have 3 moved to Marquette and 13 reassigned to Escanaba.

He obviously will "never work in this town again". Too pro individual freedom for Marquette now.
I'm not so sure I agree with that prediction.

On that Marquette 17 note, I remember about 10? years ago maybe they had a low power religious broadcast on that station...TBN maybe? I can't remember for sure because I never watched that type of programming.

TBN had a few satellators in the Yoop: W17CS Marquette, W20BZ Escanaba, and W67CS Sault Ste. Marie. They declined to convert them to digital.

Don’t work there… it’s your choice.

I personally appreciate a company that makes efforts to protect its staff.

If protecting its staff is the threshold, they should require daily exercise and healthy diet to work there. Most will die from heart disease and not Covid-19.

The vaccine does not prevent contracting it and does not prevent the spread of it. Where have you been the last three years? Not reading medical journals, I see.
You are a fucking loser. How many bans are needed, cunt?

I wondered why this ol' thread was resurrected. The splattering of posts on Monday 08.14 were followed by silence for a few days, so I had high hopes that would be the end of it. What was I thinking?

One thing is for sure... it's posts certainly bring out the best of PolPot-ism from just about everyone else here.

You should know better by now. A thread about how beautiful today is would become political by thr 6th post.
