As shared above, Kevin's last day was Friday 2/17.

Here's what Kevin had to say about his departure...

Kevin left us all with some touching parting comments today, and we wanted to share some of his thoughts with the 9&10 community. Here's what he had to say, and thank you for your support!
"The other big question: Why leave now? This one’s a little tougher. I’ve known for a while that it was time for a change. I realize that’s vague, but when you know, you know. Don’t believe the silly internet rumors that it is because of the new logo. It is not. I have been given the opportunity to help another organization that I love. Central Michigan University is bringing me on board for a role in University Communications. It’s very different than daily news, but it’s something that I’m looking forward to. It’s a big change, and will be a challenge.
…. I want to thank the Iacobelli family for always believing in me. I also thank all of you who have made me a better communicator, made me laugh to the point of tears, and made my time in the 9&10 newsroom the best time of my life!”

Again, many high profile news people go to Public Relations. Good for him finding a stable opportunity.

I still don't get the logo rumor.

...and then there were 4 (anchors)...

Gotta be an all-time low anchor number for Brewvine & 10. Heck, they've been 4 deep on the wx team in the not-distant past.

Considering Scafidi pretty much sticks to her morning gig (when she's there), gotta be some long hours for the rest.

Dan Lee went into the accounting profession; I believe he's currently a CPA somewhere in Delaware.

Birdie: Is he still the doorman and janitor also? Or has he hired for those positions?

Looks as though 'vine & 10 is back up to listing 5 anchors on their web site again, with the recent addition of self-described "international award winning producer, writer, and director with an entrepreneurial background", Eric Brazeal.

Seems he has spent much of the past month or two primarily hosting, co-hosting, or contributing to GDNM and / or The Four, so I haven't seen much of him....

Impressive resume. Not sure how he ended up at a small market TV station in Northern Michigan.

Living in Traverse City is a lifestyle move.

For you. I was hiring a business manager recently and the applications from big cities to work for a measley $70k were overwhelming. Sometimes money isn't the most important thing.

Sounds like an engineer's slant...
Yup.

When an engineer leaves - who knows? Or cares?
Ahhh, spoken with full embracement of the true spirit of most in the Buzzboard. Slap that keyboard and show that other guy who's boss.

Let's just say that the open-mouthed, wide-eyed, frazzled, confused, and totally helpless everywhere in the station ranging all the way from the GM down all the way to the air staff when something goes wrong is who very strongly cares when the engineer leaves.
Amen to that :smokin

Also money goes a little farther outside of big cities.
