Registered by MacDonald - Garber.

An obvious (and smart) format choice for that stick!

The only question is this - when will it launch, and what flavor of Country will be offered?

Indeed, that is true.

My guess is they decided to stick around until the new station at 106.7 is launched.

I don't think that will do anything other than destabilize and fractionalize WMKC and WTCM ratings. The signals aren't as good near Traverse City, Petoskey, and other towns near Lake level, so I don't know if they will dominate ratings, just take away from competitors. There are already too many stations for the population. Why not put on a unique format, or one than is truly better?

I wonder if they bring Rizzo and Jeff back and make that country station a mirror of the bull to get full market coverage. Rizzo and Jeff love em or hate em had a heck of a show and to this day ppl boycott KHQ. So put them back on Q and launch 98.7 the Bull to cover from Gaylord to UP?

They are headed to Rhode Island where Robbie is from where they will do classic hits and he will be the operations manager.

No not at all total surprise. He’s going home to Rhode Island to do a classic hits show and be an operations manager. The man he’s replacing was there for 30 years. That’s also a return to cumulus for him in his hometown at the station he started at…

They will move the midday girl over put on the Morning Show and he will oversee operations.

Robby & Rochelle arrived in TVC in March 2020 after Bridges’ OM stint with Townsquare Media’s Portsmouth, NH cluster. He previously spent 11 years with Cumulus Media and Westwood One, the last two as Director of FM Programming for Hot AC WDVD, Country WDRQ and Classic Country NASH Icon 93.1-HD2/Detroit.
LOL @ the mention of "Nash Icon 93.1-HD2," a station whose listenership was so tiny that it didn't even register - EVER - in Nielsen PPM data.

HD-only side channels are a complete joke. In fact, the last several times I checked, 93.1 HD2 was no longer broadcasting.

I did enjoy listening to 96.3 WDVD when he ran the station. Very seldom listen to WDVD these days.

98.7 The Bull is a station in Portland, OR.

A Bull replica wouldn't be the best use of 106.7, although it wouldn't be a bad use, either. An 80's to early 2K's based Classic Country format by far would be the best format choice for 106.7, in my opinion.

If Z93 were smart, they would've hired the former KHQ morning show and move the old guy who currently hosts mornings to a different daypart.

I bet the new 106.7 Website will look at sexy at this one...

Choosing Country is a decision of connivence. I would imagine that they would skew it towards women, as Trish has always dominated women.

I really hope the new station plays a decent cohort of artists (era wise) not already found on WTCM-FM, Big Country 102.9, and 96.7 The Bull.
