TBT: Deputy Don! (and some 7&4 sign ons)

April 1986:

*4:25 - Don tells the crowd that JCPenney (probably the one in TC) is having a "dress as your parent" contest. He proclaims that the boys not dress like their moms. :rollin
*15:00 - a commercial for Walk America featuring Dave Walker
*35:34 - an old ID slide with the early 80's logo (the sign on showed the Beam era logo)
*51:27 - a promo for Hour Magazine

August 1986:

*several times, they show an ID slide with a variant of the Beam logo with bigger Bs with the NBC "Let's All Be There" jingle
*unfortunately, the show itself was riddled with video problems; they even put up a graphic during a Popeye cartoon
*13:45 - another ad with Dave Walker soliciting funds for a track at the Junior High School
*14:39 - a promo for The Golden Girls with Betty White name dropping 7&4 with a "Northern Michigan's Beam of Light" sequence
*52:36 - a commercial for the MDA Bowl-A-Thon
*1:01:23 - Don does an ad for New York Seltzer
*at the end of the video, it was apparent that 7&4 joined The Gummi Bears just a tad bit late

*Both videos have several 1960s Popeye shorts whose prints were all beet red.

Great stuff! I hope an episode of Saturday Night Dead turns up.

Until then, we can still remember Count Zappula here:

I was on his show when I was a kid. Only time I've ever been on TV.
