Michigan – Hit Radio Media files a $44,000 deal to buy the currently-silent WMOM, Pentwater, MI (102.7) from Bay View Broadcasting. Hit Radio Media will operate the station under a time brokerage agreement until closing. WMOM has been off the air since April 20219 when owner Patrick Lopeman was involved in an automobile accident and was no longer to travel to the station from his home in Milwaukee.

$44,000 and assumption of some debt I would imagine. Makes me want to start looking at ownership again. I listened to the stream for a while, seems perfect for a "Community" commercial station.

The web site looks promising, too.

I think the new owners will do a terrific job running the station and maximizing its potential. As I've stated before, the local radio offerings in the Ludington area in recent years have been dreadful.

The rebirth of WMOM will be a breath of fresh air for many local listeners, I suspect.
