Yes, off the air for at least the past week; presumably to save on the power bill, until buyers are found.
STA requests for both WSRT and WSRJ filed 12/19. "WSRT HAS SUSPENDED OPERATIONS DUE TO ONGOING FINANCIAL ISSUES WHICH HAVE MADE CONTINUED OPERATION AT THIS TIME UNSUSTAINABLE."

Hopefully a classic country channel comes to fruition. Face it, TCM sucks.

The fact only small portions of Northern MI have access to such a format is outrageous. It would perform reasonably well up north if tried on a decent signal!

My interpretation of "Classic Country" is material from the 90's to mid 00's with a smattering of even older songs. This is the formula 94.1 Duke FM in Lansing now follows - median song age used to be much older when that station first debuted - and it sounds good, IMO.

100% agreed! DUKE FM is a great station. I listen online quite often as I'm not satisfied with the country stations in this area or lack thereof.

Duke FM(99.7 in my case)is a very good classic station music wise that I personally enjoy. The one off putting thing for me, outside of the weak signal,is that God awful imagining.

Best classic country station in this state music mix wise,in my opinion,is WLEW-AM Bad Axe.

Yeah, I hate the Duke FM voiceovers, too.

Sad to hear.

My parents would take us to Platte Lake every summer. One year it seemed like the FM dial went from two stations (WIAA and WLDR) to dozens.

I had just unpacked the boxes and started to scan the newly crowded FM band and heard "The New 106-KHQ" -Thought I was getting Spokane, WA!😄

They should put the fox fm on 105.5 if 94.3 is sold

I think he was referring to when the station signed on nearly 40 years ago.

Any rumors as to whom - if anyone - may be interested in purchasing 106.7 WSRT and 105.5 WSRJ?

When I was growing up in the 90s/early 2000s, it was always a "which is better, KHQ or The Peak??"
For me, it was JML or KHQ. Sucks that JML was the one that caved. That was an amazing station in it's heyday.

Haven't heard anything on either, or about 92.5 WFDX

My dad talked about JML. Said the station hosted Harry Chapin at Castle Farms, and Chapin changed his lyrics to "I am the morning DJ, at WJML" lol
