From a very good source (for real)I hear there are issues between Blarney Stone and Mr Henderson that may very well never be resolved keeping the 3 LMA stations dark.

Also has anyone noticed that WJML's 3 TC signals can be off for days at a time?

I just seen in the online Grand Traverse County court records, that Henderson is in the process of sueing BSB.

That would explain why all has gone quiet on social media. I am betting Finster is looking for a new gig as we speak.

And there are so many stations in TC and Petoskey salivating at the chance.. <<Sarcasm font off>>

If I go down to the courthouse, can I review the filings? Are they public? In some states and counties, they post the actual filings etc. online. No links on that website right now, am I in the wrong place?

Don't know about Michigan but in my state you can do that. There may be a small fee, like 5 bucks, but you certainly can see them as they are public record.

To Milk and ADD - kudos to both of you for your sleuthing on this matter! :)

Wow - yet another Blarney Stone clusterf---.

I'm still awaiting the launch of 92.5/94.3 The Trail with eager anticipation! LMAO

Not sure if this means anything, but 92.3,99.3 continue to be open air, while 101.9 is pure static here in TC.

As far as Finster goes,my 45 year old sister, who never heard of him before his time at WLDR, really likes his show. She says he is much better than their previous AM show, and the guys on KHQ are obnoxious. She previously listened mornings to 103.5,and she hates country music.

I predict that by this time next year, IPR News will be on 101.9 and 91.5 will be sold off to another noncommercial operator (Promise FM is a likely candidate for 91.5 as they bought 100.9 in East Jordan from IPR recently and Promise's 91.1 has a very sharp null toward downtown Traverse City).

Good chance at least one of 92.3 or 99.3 go noncommercial as most of the other commercial groups in the market are at the market cap. Candidates include Smile FM, Relevant Radio, and EMF.

I did notice that 100.3 (owned outright by Blarney Stone) is on the air with local ads. I'm assuming 101.1 in Grayling is on as well, but I can't get it in Manistee due to WIXX.

Even if BSB broadcasting is not perfect, they are probably more reliable operators than Roy.

It is so sad what Roy has done to ruin WLDR.

Blarney Stone was the best thing to happen to WLDR in recent memory, perhaps since Roy bought it. That said, without knowing the actual claims either party has on each other, anyone doing an LMA with an operator with the track record Roy has is living dangerously.

Wonder if the WQAN FCC bust from a few months back played a part in this?

It would be far better if the stations were sold rather than cancelling licenses. Cancellation would result in the frequencies remaining silent for years, with all the appeals and challenges that could occur.

Certainly. I can't imagine Henderson turning his licenses. But I can imagine selling to whoever, be it IPR, EMF, even Blarney Stone.

If I had to put my money on something, thinking either EMF or a new commercial entry. And given that the Northern Broadcast stations are available, any combination is possible.

101.9 is off completely now, 99.3 is still transmitting dead air.

I really think Blarney Stone is done. No updates since Oct 27 on any platform. Finster has gone silent.

Traverse City is a very competitive media market and I really don't think anyone knew these stations exist. How can you sell ads in a climate like this?

I never heard local ads, they really made no impact locally, it was an underfunded effort.
