Taylor Nimmo is mentioned as weekend meteorologist at 7&4. Where does that leave Blake?

I know, what I'm asking is what his role is/will be now. Is Sinclair going to have 7&4 be used as training ground now?

All Markets below 10 are training grounds. Always have been. When I was a small chid, Casey Kasem and JP McCarthy worked in my hometown.

Is THAT where they got the idea for the 486-SX?

According to her, Nimmo took a "Weekend Weather/ Reporter position". Sounds 'swing-shifty' to me...

Blake's good, but I wouldn't guess that Nimmo's hiring means he's necessarily on his way out. People take vacations, do promotions, get sick, and there's longer-term succession that has to be taken into consideration as well. Watkins is great, but he has also had heath issues in the past (hopefully there's no recurrence), and may be getting to the point where it's getting closer to time to pass that Chief Meteorologist baton along.

Who knows? Maybe Watkins gets his old evening shift back soon, and Hansen returns to join Charlevoix in the weekday tag-team weather presentation that used to be a part of the morning show...

Anyway, even if this isn't related to a planned exit or shuffle in the future, 'Always have a backup for your backup' is a good plan to have.

True. Don't want to end up in the situation like the open position between Greg and Mark... I remember Joe literally ran into the station for the 11 PM the day his son was born as Alana obviously couldn't do the 11 PM and the following morning. I think they had a backup that didn't show, as I remember the first words exchanged were something like "I didn't know I was going to be here tonight"

I also remember a time when it was only Greg and Joe that they pulled in meteorologists from other affiliates to help.
