Cool stuff... although I'm more into the news breaks.

I didn't know Nancy Loveland did weather at the station.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through June 3 at 5:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

I had no idea Witmark had a location in TC.
Also, at this time Meijer had only one location in 7&4's coverage area (the one on South Division). They now have at least nine locations in 7&4's coverage area.

Also the Olive Garden ad long before the TC location opened. The closest location at the time was likely Grand Rapids or Saginaw depending on where in the market you were located

I believe I once read Witmark was the highest revenue grossing jeweler in Michigan and one of the highest in the country at the chain's peak.
Witmark was essentially a smaller version of Service Merchandise. Jewelry was their specialty by far. Their reputation in that product segment was strong.
Their stores as I recall also had housewares (which was a large portion of the store), sporting goods, toys, furniture (generally of the assemble yourself variety), and electronics departments. A popular store for wedding gift registries. Witmark was a big deal in the Grand Rapids area once upon a time.
I do remember their audio / video department being on the mediocre side in terms of selection and brand offerings. The otherwise lame Montgomery Ward chain had a surprisingly good electronics department. Witmark was more of a place you'd go to buy portable electronics.

Sunny 102 was a superbly well programmed Soft AC in the early 90s, and I remember 7&4's Nancy Loveland doing weather reports for them. The music obviously wasn't to my personal liking, but the formatics were spot-on for that type of radio station.

Wonder what took her from the forecast desk to the anchor desk
