Novelty Songs
What are your favorite Novelty Songs here are a few of Mine,
“Gitarzan” by Ray Stevens 1969
“The Name Game” by Shirley Ellis 1964
“Surfin’ Bird” by The Trashmen 1963
“Earache My Eye” by Cheech & Chong 1974
“”Barbie Girl” by Aqua 1997
I know the last one is kind of stupid, But when you have children around the house and they sing that song it gets kind of catchy, Anyway what are you favorite Novelty tunes?

Re: Novelty Songs
One of the first records I ever bought as a kid was Lonnie Donegan's "skiffle" hit "Does your Chewing Gum Lose it's Flavor (on the Bedpost Overnight)?
A few other novelty songs of that era-
Battle of New Orleans
Running Bear
Wooly Bully
Little Red Riding Hood
Dang Me!
the 50's "Flying Saucer/Spaceman" mashups
Alvin & the Chipmunks (Dave Seville)

Re: Novelty Songs
My favorite cut in is On Campus by Dickie Goodman.

Artists and record companies were initially filing lawsuits about the early cut ins. Then they discovered that they were cross promoting their product and increasing record sales across the board. Buddah Records caught on and made their own, promoting just their repertoire.
Moonflight by Vik Venus.

Most memorable Weird Al Yankovic. I Lost On Jeopardy.
