Good. We do NOT have enough stations like that. Glad to see they are getting a stronger foothold.

LOL. Hillsdale County will probably eat that programming right up. I will say that much.

WIOT, WRKR and WBNO serve portions of the area served by 102.5.

Exactly. The radio dial has a shortage of stations playing stale butt rock. We can't afford to lose any more....

I think WXKR can be picked up, albeit staticky, in Adrian.

|I Wonderful. However, yeah crust bucket butt rock can be heard on other signals. WXKR comes in fine in Adrian but is a bit scratchy in Hillsdale. I'm not super surprised.

I think 102.5 had an AC format prior to being classic rock.

Started as AC "Mix 102.5" then flipped to Hot AC somewhere along the way. I remember listening to the 2001 American Top 20 (Hot AC) year-end countdown on 102.5 when I lived in Saline that year.
Kinda surprised Smile FM didn't snap this up first. IIRC they don't have a signal in that area.

I think Smile FM has a CP in that area

102.5 fades out in eastern Monroe County, at times I've heard it as far as Rossford Ohio, albeit scratchy. I want to say they became classic rock in the early 2000s. At one point their audio was downright awful.

Sheesh... you're right. Not one, but two. An 88.7 in Adrian and an 88.9 in Litchfield (Hillsdale County).

Totally sucks, Buzz rocks.
I have them on my primary receiver.
They beat 94.9 in Lansing to a bloody pulp each and every day.

So, when is the changeover supposed to happen?

Still Classic Rock as of now. Too bad it's going away, this is way better then WXKR in Toledo.

Woe to you, oh earth and sea
For the Devil sends the beast with wrath
Because he knows the time is short
Let him who hath understanding reckon the number of the beast
For it is a human number
Its number is six hundred and sixty-six

After checking out the station online, I must say WBZV exceeded my expectations! It is surprisingly good. They do a much better job blending classic rock staples with 90s rock than Detroit's Fake Wheels 106.7, or for that matter, sleepy 107.7 WRKR.

It's a shame this station is likely going away soon.
