After being forbidden from locating the tower near Clarkston and serving the Detroit Area, they moved the proposed site of WJRT 12 ABC to near Chesaning, so it was the ABC affiliate for Lansing for decades, as WJIM 6 was the official CBS affiliate for Flint. WKNX-TV 25, CBS then, only really served the Tri Cities from Treanor St., but WWTV 9 was the most dominant CBS signal in Midland.
