WPBN still has a pretty high profit margin (which seems to be how Sinclair is targeting stations that it’s shutting down).
But some of that comes from efficiencies like hubbed out Master Control.
If I were 7&4 management, I wouldn’t get too comfortable. I doubt Sinclair is done yet with the purge. They will find it too tempting to continue running higher cost local newscasts, except in its biggest markets.
