The weather forecasts might end up something like WFQX was in the early-2000s. The weather was pre-taped from AccuWeather, which made severe storm bulletins extremely late. I can vividly remember a severe storm warning come on 7&4, and my dad was watching Fox in the other room. It was about 15 minutes before the bulletin crawl was on Fox. At the very least, the EAS box should've been programmed on automatic to run the warning.

Sinclair is already hubbing out its Toledo station. That station was also a trainwreck holdover from Barrington. It was never going to be a competitor in news. Just like how they now view 25-66.
The fact that channel 24, as WDHO and WNWO, has always been a bottom dweller all its life. And these days, everything is now done remotely far from Toledo, even news (from South Bend). Why even need a full studio when just a storefront at a strip mall would do?

Even with retrans negotiations, Sinclair was stubborn. WNWO was off Buckeye Cablesystem during much of 2014; during the Sochi Olympics and the NHL playoffs, Buckeye was pleased as punch to announce the availability of these events -- on CBET Windsor.
