12 hasn't had a decent sports director since Ed Phelps retired. Greg Molzon was OK, but he was no Ed.

Molzon and Slocum were both good. I agree Phelps was the GOAT. After Ryan was forced out, management decided to deemphasize WJRT’s sports coverage.

Again Stinks doesn't have the facts. Ryan was not forced out at 12. He blew himself up.

It seems like none of our local channels care much for sports.

New ownership looking to make ABC 12 look like a cheap starter market station. Doing a great job Byron.

He was fired by ABC12 so what’s the difference?

The difference is, he wasn't forced out. If he wouldn't have blown himself up, he would most likely still be there. That's a big difference.

Blown himself up to me means fired.

Forced out means quit instead of being fired.

Am I missing something here?

Forced out mean the company pushed you out. Not the case. Blowing you self up means you can no longer be employed by the company for whatever reason. He killed his career, not ABC 12.
