SCOTUS to review TV ownership caps

Post by sinklair » Sun Oct 04, 2020 5:12 am

Hoping to continue the dangerous TV ownership consolidation that we’ve seen in recent years, the Supreme Court will soon hear a series of cases that could propel even more local TV stations to go out of business.

The bigger station groups like Sinclair and Nexstar will get bigger... the little guys/locally owned stations won’t be able to compete... and the quality of local broadcasting will go down the toilet.

Will this be covered on 25-66 or other stations? Don’t count on it. They don’t want any serious examination of the consequences if the FCC lifts caps. Democracy and the Fourth Estate dies in the dark...

Been going on for years it isn't going to change as it has been going on through tons of industries as R. Bedell said.
