Budget axe falls at TV5
Re: Budget axe falls at TV5
How about give up on the stupid notion that every broadcast (except noon, maybe?) needs two anchors? I don't recall when the male-female duo anchor teams became standard (or both female), but I think everyone who watched 5 during their "glory years" remembers a very good newscast anchored by one person.

Yea, but how would they get all the corny banter?
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

Scot Johnson is still collecting a paycheck and doing even less than he did before. Jason Fielder is now taking reporter responsibilities. WNEM has no new advertising. Those moment of calm segments could at least find a sponsor. I'm surprised they aren't doing a wall to wall Corner Store on the weekends.
