I know more than one home green screen.
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!
Re: ABC12 reveals Great Lakes Gay Studio
Who cares?
All 3 stations use green screens.
And another homophobic post by Lovin — “Great Lakes Gay Studio”. Serves no purpose other than to be provocative..

No, not at home. Usually the green screens are at the station.
But I’m not sure the location makes a big difference. If it allows a journalist to spend more time on getting the story and less time on the road driving to the station, I’m alright with it.
It’s an interesting experiment. It provides some challenges putting together a newscast where your anchor isn’t in studio.

Lovin: try to stay on topic...
Re: ABC12 reveals Great Lakes Gay Studio
It seems like 12’s strategy is to show anchors in both the northern end (Saginaw, BC, Midland) of the market... and the southern end (Flint) to challenge 5’s dominance.
It’s been done before. 12 has tried to have it both ways — trying to dominate Flint while staffing it’s northern bureau. Ultimately it failed because 12 couldn’t split its staff and out cover 5 in the Saginaw area.
The new News Director and Veto clearly aren’t students of history and are bound to fail again. It doesn’t seem that 12 has anything different to convince 5’s viewers to switch stations.
And while 12 attempts to have it both ways, 25-66 is making a big push in Flint. 12 may get squeezed on both ends of the market with little room to grow.
