Is it just me, or has TV19 up-scaled their pledge drives? Seems I recall, that every quarter, they would conduct a pledge drive that lasted 9 days. Now, it seems that the Pledge Drives are every 2 months and last two weeks. Insight..???

PBS should just go commercial they’re almost there now, It appears that they have actual commercials in the beginning and ending of programs now, So why would anyone even think about giving money to PBS if they already get money to air commercials from so called corporate underwriters, PBS will never get a dime of my money nor will NPR and the Government funding should end as well no matter how small the amount of Government funding is.

Who in their right mind would spend $250. for a 3 CD set of Motown Hits when you can buy it for no more than $20. at FYE even cheaper online or $350. for a DVD collection of the same songs, The point is this is a useless incentive for a pledge drive why don’t PBS just promise zero commercials on their TV Stations period that would be enough incentive alone to get money.
