The trend of station consolidation continues as Gray Television, the parent company of ABC 12, announced today that they have reached an agreement to purchase Quincy Media:

Meredith, who owns TV 5, is also searching for a buyer for its TV stations.
As Sinclair proves, bigger is not always better when it comes to improving the quality of journalism for viewers.
Acceptable registrations in the queue through June 3 at 5:00p ET have now been activated. Enjoy! -M.W.

Gray to purchase Quincy stations
Re: Gray to purchase Quincy stations
I think Byron Allen will buy Meredith maybe Gray does which I'm surprised if Gray did buy Meredith they would only have to sell TV5 surprised they aren't in a lot more markets I thought there would be more than just one and would've had to sell more. Quincy media wanted to sell the owners wanted to cash out and get out of the broadcasting business.
Go Pistons, Let's Go Redwings.

Scripps could be in the picture with its existing Michigan footprint. Nexstar I think is at its ownership cap and likely would have to sell other stations in order to consider buying WNEM... and that likely won’t happen.
I like Jim Kirtzner’s idea to have current and past TV 5 employees to buy the rusty nickel. That would be fun to watch!

Byron Allen will bring his fake court shows and unfunny game shows to local tv newscasts... Shameful.

Gray could buy Meredith and pull a Sinclair and spin it off with an "LMA."
Seems to be the 'cool thing to do'...
