Olympics TV coverage - local connection

Post by Feature/writer » Mon Jul 22, 2024 8:26 am

WOOD-TV 8 sports director Jack Doles is off to Paris to cover the Olympics. He now has double-digit Olympic trips under his belt (figuring both winter and summer competitions), as his NBC-affiliated station carries the action and his network has exclusive rights with incredible access for reporting crews.
Speculation: If CBS had the rights to the Olympics, would WMMT-TV 3 send Andy Pepper overseas to cover it? I'm guessing not....

I've been wondering for several Olympics if Jack files reports for other NexStar owned stations, NBC affiliated or not?
