What was that hot mess on WZZM this morning?

What a s*hit show this morning (6-25-24) with the storm coverage. I was watching the live stream on the web because of the power being out. The graphics where just scrolling through everything they made up for the morning newscast. The weather staff was talking about the radar and timing out storms and we saw the lakeshore forecast for the day.

If this is how things are going to run with George gone, someone please turn out the lights and lock the door when he is gone. Not sure if the kids in the weather office were to blame or inexperienced control room who did not have enough Starbucks to wake themselves up and keep up with breaking news.

I was surprised that WWMT didn't go wall to wall when the north was getting hit with over 60MPH wind guest only cut in when the storms were on the MI/IN state line. Wood TV from 6AM to about 8:30AM was wall to wall I think Fox17 went in and out of the coverage as it seemed to have other news reports when I flipped over to them. I was glad I didn't lose power as the storms weakened some when they came to the south just a bit.

I am impressed that Consumers was able to fix the vast majority of its outages in a single day.

Took DTE 72 hours to restore my power last week, and they had far fewer original outages with which to deal than Consumers.

DTE Energy paid $752 million in dividends to its shareholders last fiscal year. Remember that the next time they ask the MPSC to approve rate hikes.
