Post by statmanmi » Thu Jun 13, 2024 10:00 pm

What's up Doc?

MeTV Toons now has WLLA 64.7 listed on their website as being one of their affiliates upon June 25th launch:

I continue to be impressed with WLLA's choices for subchannels.

The MeTV Toons schedule is somewhat underwhelming.

No Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles? No Transformers? No Pee-Wee's Playhouse? (Not a cartoon but definitely a prominent part of Saturday morning programming on CBS.)

No DuckTales or Tiny Toon Adventures? No G.I. Joe? No Garfield & Friends? No shorts from Disney? No Pac-Man or Alvin & the Chipmunks?

There is some pretty obscure crap on their schedule mixed with good programming.

On the bright side, He-Man isn't on the schedule. Might be the worst cartoon series ever save for My Little Pony! LMAO

I sent a request to Grand Rapids stations and Youtube TV to carry it. Doubt they will

A problem with a lot of the streaming services is local OTA independent stations are not carried.

YouTube TV does carry MeTV, so the thought of them adding a national feed of Toons is not a big stretch.

Is this in the basic package or an add on? I've had YTTV for several years now and I am not seeing it in the lineup. Charge, Ion and Bounce are listed but not MeTV. Thinking I was overlooking it in the lineup, I tried using my browser's search feature and it could not find it either

I was mistaken; you are correct!

I receive Get TV and Cozi but not MeTV on my YouTube lineup. I'll be darned.

I bet they will launch their own streaming app based on the way the MeTV guy was hinting at it.
