Good news - B93 will NOT be airing Bobby Bones in mornings!

Mike Aguilar will fill the vacancy created by Matt Gilcheck's departure.

Mike and Ally will be hosting the B93 morning show together.

As a result of this move, Aguilar will depart his role as producer on Mojo in the Morning. He will continue to voicetrack middays on WSNX.

This is a good move. A pleasant surprise, frankly.

B93 will not be airing Bobby Bones YET.

Wouldn't surprise me if the evening version of his show appears there in the not too distant future. If that were to occur, he'd simply be replacing an out of market voice tracker.

Bobby would have replaced any local morning show on B93 years ago if he weren’t on WMUS. If iHeart ever dumps WMUS Bones will be doing mornings on B93 shortly after.

Still won’t be shocked if they put Bones on at night on B93 at some point. But thar’s typically a “warning” to the local morning show that their time is almost up. Putting Bones on at night is almost never done as a permanent thing. It’s simply warming him up within the market.

According to Yahoo Finance, Bones is heard on 240 stations. Figuring an average of two and a half people per station losing their jobs to his crew, it works out to about 600 people who were thrown on the breadline. That's pretty brutal. But that's I Heart I guess. I wish the new B crew nothing but the best.
