Ditto that.

There is sime sort of bizarre variable bandwidth allocation that goes on at Sirius XM. Sometimes, the audio sounds very respectable. Other times (like this morning), it sounds rotten.
Sounds like krap.

If you mean Newaygo city, are you listening from up on the hill (south of town) or down low in the valley?

Lots of stations struggle near the M-37 / Muskegon River bridge.
Closer still to 'LAV's transmitter site! On Hess Lake, 2 miles to the southeast of town.

With a 2 foot piece of wire dangling in back of a Boston Acoustics Receptor I get 97.9 quite well and 88.5 is almost full quieting but there's no trace of 'LAV.

They must be encountering antenna or transmitter issues of some kind.

Predicted signal is 60 dBu in your location, which is plenty strong outside the city with no terrain obstructions. As a point of comparison, 88.5 WGVU-FM's predicted strength in your location is only 50 dBu.

Was in the 100th St /131 S area and WLAV FM sounds like really good AM at best from my car’s radio. 95.7, 96.1, 97.9 even 105 sound great compared to WLAV.

Are they stuck with that lack of dynamic range forever?
