People growing tired of Christmas music in West MI?

Post by MWmetalhead » Wed Jan 27, 2016 8:25 pm

Surprisingly - at least in 12+ - Star 105.7 saw *no* gains in the Fall 2015 book relative to the Summer 2015 book:

http://ratings.radio-online.com/cgi-bin/rol.exe/arb127

It was a bizarre book. Both B93 and WLAV fell hard, as did 101.3 The Brew. WLAV often has a ratings collapse around this time of year, so that in & of itself isn't a big surprise.

Newsradio WOOD, 105.3 Hot FM, and 98.7 WFGR all saw nice gains. In fact, 98.7 WFGR rose to a 3.7 share, which might be their best 12+ showing to date as a Classic Hits station.

I suspect WVGR (Michigan Radio) and WCSG both performed very well in fall; I'll have to try to grab the non-comm numbers when I have a chance.

I bet the annoying chatter in afternoon drive on 101.3 is turning away a LOT of listeners. Hooker & Brooke suck. So does Nikki Sixx. That 1.5 share for 101.3 is a new record low for them.

Given the narrower than usual separation between WGRD & B93 in ages 12+, I suspect WGRD won A25-54 this book.

Thanks, corporate radio, for finally tossing Nickelback to the curb. Now can you please do the same for Shinedown? THEY SUCK!!!

You know your doing REALLY bad when JQ99, The River and 107.3 are beating you in the ratings

I predict WLAV Will never have top +5 ratings without the tigers

WBBL will always stay in the Ones, WOOD will see a big gain

and for WFGR I Think their gain a little bit to do with 96.9 and 101.3 listeners who dont like 90s music thrown in

WLHT has been having some consistent numbers. Will they be able cross into the 5 share?

How did 96.1 do with the departure of Baligian? Or is this data from when he was still around?

As I recall, he stopped his GR show about halfway thru the book.

Both WBBL and WMAX were up about a half share from summer and tied in 12+ with a 1.9 share across all dayparts.

Non-comm numbers:
WCSG = 6.7 share
WVGR = 3.8 share
WGNB = 1.1 share
WGVU-F = 1.0 share
WGVU-A = 0.8 share
