TV 13 departures

Apparently 13 just lost its chief photog - guy who won bucketloads of awards. In the fall the long time production manager left and veteran reporter Ross took off in summer. Wonder how Vanameyde hangs on. Is it cheap, or is it Gannett? Or normal turnover?

Do you honestly think there's a future for anyone at that station anymore?

I sometimes don't get Gannett, Tegna, whatever.
Their news product varies widely from GR in other markets. In markets of comparable ranking to GR like Knoxville or Buffalo their stations are #1.
And they put on solid products in their other markets like Atlanta, Denver, Minneapolis, Phoenix and Cleveland.

Has WZZM been the red-headed step child of the Gannett company?

That honor probably goes to WUSA, but outside of the majors, you are probably right.

Tegna-Gannett has also ruined KHOU in Houston. Longtime #1 contender is now third in most newscasts. KPRC's product has gotten much better during this same period and is now the station duking it out with KTRK for first place.

MEMO TO 89-EX: FIX YOUR SHITTY SOUNDING AUDIO!! WE CAN HARDLY HEAR THE FRIGGIN' STATION! Thanks in advance.
