Michigan is getting it done

Post by TC Talks » Wed Jun 17, 2020 5:09 pm

Here's some good news for a change.
Our state is in the green zone, better than 48 others, in this pandemic-response analysis from respected experts.

The "on track to contain" status for Michigan and New York comes from Covid Act Now, a nonprofit team of technologists, epidemiologists, health experts and policy leaders. Since March 20, it has posted periodic maps to show what data suggests is ahead for each state in four general categories.

This is why a recall effort will fail.

No, a recall will fail because there is such a high threshold. Use your head: the two states that had the highest case rates basically had all the people that were going to get the virus get it early. Cuomo and Karen threw suck people into nursing homes. I've noticed that both TCT and RT have ignored this thread: https://www.mibuzzboard.com/phpBB3/view ... 39&t=50558

I don’t have anything to add to it. The state did a poor job there.

These calculations seem relevant to any conversation on performance:

Nursing home patients: 1,947/7,163 = 27.18%
Nursing home staff: 20/3,133 = 0.64%
All others: 3,805/49,768 = 7.65%

These are from yesterday's stats.

And they prove you can do simple math. Congratulations. I don’t have a single clue what the numbers mean though so A for effort?

I post on my phone generally so sometimes I'm too concise. The formula is deaths/cases = death rate. Nursing homes are skewing the data. The nursing home policy appears to be intentional.

I agree a recall effort will fail.
But I'm also fairly confident that unless someone else wins in the primaries, we will have a Republican Governor and Attorney General in 2023.

She did a great job of protecting BCBS from paying for anything.

I think they are even feeling a little guilty about it, they are giving premium credits.
Ask not what your country can do FOR you; ask what they are about to do TO YOU!!

Wife & I heard Gov's schpeel @ ~11am yesterday. Wife's comment was, "Wow - she's really stroking herself, isn't she?"

Didn't last the whole show. Though I thought I heard her scold those trying to sue or oust her...
